KBKS President’s Message 2020

Greetings and salutations to all!

Dear Branch chiefs, Dojo operators, members and friends

In the past year, our organisation has gone from strength to strength and we have achieved many of our intended goals. Our main achievements have been successful Kyokushin Cup Tournament, Honbu Dan examinations including other national and international events. We have been able to establish new branch affiliations in Madagascar, Iran, Pakistan, Brazil, Canada and India. The countries of Russia, Nepal, Netherlands and England have had excellent progress and a very active role in the Kyokushin Budo Karate Shakai. Other countries are also continuing to establish themselves well in our organisation.

Secondly, we decided our first World Cup in Moscow 2021 and are excited about what this could have in store. The World Cup is a great chance for all countries to come together and support this event. We are going to select the competitors from the World Tournaments in 2020. We are also going to ask the instructors to give opportunities to the best students from each of their countries to participate as well.

I want to share a few of my goals for the coming year: Next year I am looking forward to travelling to the Netherlands, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Russia to teach and development of our Dojos. We are preparing for the 7th Kyokushin Cup All UK Open tournament, Dan examination in the month of April, also Kata/Kumite seminar in the month of August. We are adding events to our Honbu yearly schedule. If you are interested in any events or want to find out more please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Our ambition is to continue to follow and spread the teaching of Sosai Masutatsu Oyama’s philosophy and strong Budo spirit. We will do this in order to carry on the strong spirit of Kyokushin Karate for the next generation. Together we will reach goals. I would kindly ask for the continued support from all the Dojo operators, Branch chiefs and members to help make 2020 a success in every way for each and every person in the Kyokushin Budo Karate Shakai. It is my sincere hope that you work hard to cultivate your full ability and continue to grow.

Thank you all for your continued support, enthusiasm, dedication. May you have a happy, healthy, and successful New Year!

Osu!

Yours sincerely,
